Join us for our Cookery Courses in Somerset’s beautiful Exmoor National Park.
The award-winning cooking skills (and secrets) of Jack Scarterfield can now be yours. Exmoor cookery is made easy to follow with Jack and his team. Our sessions are informal and use only the best Exmoor local produce.
Jack Scarterfield, our Somerset Chef (born in Bath), helped Fishworks in Chiswick, London win many awards (and has helped the Culbone win our first awards this year). His journey in search of excellent produce has taken him all over the world. He now returns to Somerset to share his passion with you.
We have built an intimate Somerset cookery room at The Culbone, that mirrors a kitchen at home. The appliances, utensils and recipes are all designed so you can take your new skills home.
The sessions mix demonstration, practical experience and a real social experience. The emphasis is on being comfortable and having fun with the best South West produce.
You will be provided with the following:
– Recipe cards with space for you to write your own notes
– Your own binder to secure your recipe cards, and add recipe cards to future courses.
– All utensils needed
We believe that cooking with wonderful produce is a celebration, and have built a choice of wonderful cookery weekends and Artisan day classes that are suitable for people who love food (experience isn’t essential). We have 5 lovely bedrooms with breathtaking views, and are perfect for small groups who want to enjoy the splendour of Exmoor cookery courses with accomodation, and take home skills to impress friends and family with.
