The passion of the Exmoor farmers and the quality of the produce is something that we have admired for a long time. As a team, we agree that the local produce is the best that we have ever worked with (over 25 years of Restaurant experience). We love the produce so much, that we regularly take our team (and our guests!) to meet our producers, to understand the journey before the dish (or beer) appears on the table. Heaven.

We are privileged to use the beef that Simon David produces at his Big Red Cow Farm. Simon is a master butcher with 25 years of award winning experience. His herd of Devon Red cattle regularly win awards and produce the best steaks that we could find in the South West. He interviewed us for 2 days before he would let us serve his beautiful produce!

Work starts on our community garden later this year. We will be growing our own fruit and vegetables with local people. We can’t wait for our first harvest.

5 days a week, Jacqui of El Pescadero wakes up before 4am to source the best, freshest fish available. Sourcing and cooking with the best South West fish is Jack Scarterfield, our award winning Chefs, true passion. This passion is at the heart of Jacks menus, daily specials and Cookery Classes.

Our 40 seat Restaurant is warm and contemporary, with the emphasis on your Exmoor experience. The team will treat you like our family, and invite you to join our Members Club, after you have enjoyed your visit. We also have private dining for 8 people and 50 seats in our outside dining area, over-looking the Oare Valley. Simply stunning.
